The Hartford Tennis Club Memorial Walk was an idea of former
club president Ed Shires. The program was developed in 2011 to
honor family members and/or close friends who are current or
former members of the club.
It was implemented in 2012 at the beginning of the club’s
75th anniversary celebration with the installation of a
beautiful brick walkway in front of the clubhouse.
All past club presidents are also honored with a brick
that displays their name and the year(s) of their presidency.
During
the first year, more than $2,500 was brought into the club trust
program. Since then
the program continues to be highly successful and remains a
great source of income to our trust fund.
Members are encouraged to take advantage of this
great opportunity to honor family members and/or close
friends who are current or former members of the club.
